Bali – I do not even know where to start. I have rich emotions of this magical island. I love the local people, their never ending sweet smiles even when you can clearly see that they have been working hard all day. Their humbleness, honesty and hospitality towards tourists and each other never stops to astound me. It always feels right, like I have found my home whenever I visit Bali or islands close to Bali. If I could move there one day, I would.
Dini and Hen are both Indonesians . They met and fell in love in a church in Bali. When Dini wrote to me and mentioned the following:
1. they are both a vintage freak
2. they are crazy about vintage wedding details
3. an enchanted rustic vintage forest concept
My heart beated with excitement! I could not wait to see how it turns out. Dini and Hen chose Puri Tempo Doeloe Hotel in Sanur to get ready. I instantly fell in love with the ambiance of the villa. When Dini asked if I like it, I said, I LOVE IT!! She said, “I knew you would love it and that is why I chose it”. I LOVE THEM
When I arrived at the ceremony venue, it was raining cats and dogs but I was tripled times blown away when I saw the setup. It was all styled by Dini and Hen. I was overly excited that I took a picture on my phone and sent it to my husband with the caption ” I am in cloud 9 :)” Dini and Hen were not panicking or upset with the weather, in fact they just could not stop smiling! We were running behind schedule and soon running out of day lights. At the very last moment, the sky decided to clear up so Dini and Hen, and the staffs of beach golf course all went down and help to re-setup.
They did a duet – it was a beautiful ceremony, i love my job
Question: Is it possible to fall head over heels with my clients?
Answer: HELL YEAH!!
Cristine is one detailed and informative bride. Her emails were filled with love and excitement, along with links/pictures of her gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress, ceremony and reception venues, their “getting ready” villas and the decorations. It got me really excited, I wanted her wedding day to come quickly!
It felt like I was attending my first day of pre-school. I made new friends whom I love then I went back home and could not stop talking about them to my mother (in this case, my husband). I got excited, I want to know more about them. I love stories; I can sit an entire day and just listen to their adventures. This is my new friend, Cristine who literally fell in love with Romeo (his family name is Romeo, HOW AWESOME IS THAT!)
Cristine met Michael back in 2008 while backpacking in Sorrento, Italy. Michael had a traveling companion with him, little did they know, the traveller was their cupid. It all started in a bus trip to the Marina, as they were getting the boat to Capri, where their cupid made a funny remark about “Italian time management”. Cristine overheard them and could not stop herself from laughing. Introductions and conversations were then made between the three of them. Cristine asked if she could spend the day sightseeing with them, as she was on her own.
They meet again two days later, this time on a tour to Amalfi, and on their way back they went for a night out before they continued their own separate journeys. It was filled with happiness, laughter, alcohol and plenty of photos taken from Cristine’s and Michael’s individual cameras by a local Italian. But at one point, the Italian man asked Cristine why the camera wasn’t working anymore; but Cristine had already a blurry vision and couldn’t read the screen properly – she then accidentally, re-formatted Michael’s camera. She apologized and was ready to be yelled at, but to her surprise, Michael’s response was: “It’s okay, I’ve been here in Sorrento before and already have some photos”.
At the end of the night, they bid their farewells and exchanged contacts. When Cristine got back to London, feeling bad she re-formatted his camera and also at the same time, she could not stop thinking about him, she decided to burn a CD and give it to him; or maybe it was an excuse to see him again. So she arranged to meet him in a bar in London. At the bar, Cristine ordered some Caipirinhas (as she is Brazilian) and when he did not show up on the agreed time and Cristine thought he was mad and since it was happy hour, she drank his share, ordered two more and started having conversations with the bar tender about Michael standing her up. But one hours later, he appeared right next to her, the rest of the story is a journey of a beautiful adventure of them towards becoming husband & wife
