I adore every single little things in a wedding. From the save the date card to the invitation card to every little decorations according to the theme. I have a thing for lanterns, they are so simple yet able to make the atmosphere feels like a magical place.
I promise you, this is a freaking cool & unique wedding so far I’ve ever shot….because, everything was mostly DIY and the best part of all is, two different culture combines! Bride is from Miri, Sarawak; a petite Iban girl (*high 5 for that*), Groom is from Perth; therefore you will see Iban culture & designs in some of the decorations.
Now, don’t even get me started on the reception location! It is simply amazing and I fell in love with the place instantly. One, because it is in a SHED!! it whispers “rustic” & “vintage” which is what I love… Two, the bride & groom have an awesome outdoor dance floor…. Three, IT HAS HAY-BALE!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I have a thing for hay-bales too

Four, lanterns of courseeeeee, lots of them which are in orange & white color. Five, VINTAGE/CLASSIC CARS!!!!!!!!!! I told you this wedding is awesome!
Once again, a big thank you to
Christine Lim for giving me the opportunity to shoot this wedding with her. Hop over to her site to see her ways of painting the story of Linda & Joel! Also, check out Linda’s blog at
Juneteneleven to see how Linda & Joel plan this rad DIY rustic & vintage wedding. Simply, marvelous!

The “Save the Date”, “Invitation Card” & “Will You Be My Maid Of Honor” cards are all DIY!!!!!

See the hornbill bird on the card? It is the national symbol of Sarawak. The design on the top side of the card is a mixture of
Sarawak & Western design.

I love this hawt mustang ride more!
The table runners are in Pua Kumbu designs. It represents the soul of Iban culture.
